All delegates, speakers, exhibitors, and volunteers of PyCon Italia are required to adhere to the following code of conduct. The organizers will enforce this code throughout the event.

In brief

  • PyCon Italia is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for all, regardless of man, woman, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion.
  • We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.
  • Sexual language and imagery are not appropriate in any context at the conference, including presentations.
  • Conference participants who violate these rules may face sanctions or expulsion from the conference without refund at the discretion of the conference organizers.

Full version

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to man, woman, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual imagery in public spaces, intentional intimidation, stalking, following, inappropriate photographs or recordings, continuous disruption of presentations or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Exhibitors present in the exhibition hall, at sponsor or vendor booths, or similar activities are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, exhibitors must not use sexualized images or other sexualized material. Staff at booths (including volunteers) must not wear sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes or otherwise create a sexualized environment.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expelling them from the conference without any refund.

If you are being harassed, notice someone else being harassed, or have any other concerns, please immediately contact a member of the conference staff. Conference staff can be identified by their bright yellow shirts.

Conference staff will be happy to assist participants in contacting hotel/security or local law enforcement, escorting, or otherwise helping those experiencing harassment to feel safe throughout the conference. We appreciate your presence.

We expect participants to follow these rules in all areas of the conference and during social events connected to the conference.
